QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Christine has experience treating anxiety, panic attacks, depression, eating disorders, sleep difficulties, trauma, addictions and relationship issues.  She can assist with work related concerns, self- esteem, and  assertiveness. She sees individuals and adolescents for personal issues and couples for relationship counselling.

Christine works with clients using Psychodynamic Therapy and Mindfulness.  She uses her psychodynamic training to provide a strong base for understanding her clients and the issues they come to therapy with. Christine finds mindfulness to be very useful with clients. She credits her 20 years of yoga practice as introducing her to mindfulness.  She now uses mindfulness training with her clients to help them access and tolerate difficult emotions and live more fully in the present.  She believes that much of her client’s distress can be reduced by increasing their ability to access and tolerate feelings.
